The 3yo colt, Daramsar, won the first Group race of his career when taking the Group 2 Prix du Conseil de Paris over 12 furlongs at Longchamp last Sunday. Daramsar led the race setting a medium pace before comfortably holding the late challenge of Alix Road (Linamix) by a neck.

Daramsar is a son of Rainbow Quest out of dual Gr1 winner Daryaba (Prix de Diane, Prix St Alary) and is a model of consistency, having now won 5 races and placing twice from 7 starts. Prior to his Group 2 success, Daramsar won the Listed Grand Prix de Clairefontaine in August before finishing 3rd in the Group 3 Prix du Prince d’Orange, won by Arc 5th Best Name. Daramsar has not stopped improving all year and will be kept in training next year.

On the same card at Longchamp, the debutant 2 year old trained by André Fabre Kaloura (by Sinndar out of Kalamba) won the Prix de la Chapelle. The highly regarded half sister to Gr 1 winner Kalanisi led from pillar to post, beating a daughter of Kahyasi, Adjuvence, by a length at the line.

The following day at Deauville, it was 3 year old filly, Grand Vadla’s, turn to win the Listed Prix de Saint Cyr over the 7 furlong straight course. The filly by Grand Lodge out of Vadlava produced a good turn of foot late in the race, to beat Drosia and Red Kiss. On the same day, the 3 year old son of Monsun and Serasia, Serampour won his second consecutive race taking the Prix de l’Odon.
