The Aga Khan Studs are pleased to announce that Michael Halford will receive an allocation of 15 yearlings this year to train for His Highness the Aga Khan.

Commenting on the decision Pat Downes, Manager of His Highness the Aga Khan’s Irish Studs, said: “We are very pleased to have this opportunity to have some horses in training with Michael, as he has been consistently amongst the leading trainers in Ireland for a number of years. Following the purchase of the Jean-Luc Lagardère stock we are concentrating our racing activities around our breeding bases in France and Ireland, with consequent increases in racing stock numbers in both countries. This move does not affect the yearling allocation to John Oxx which remains consistent with previous years.”

Michael Halford said: “It is a privilege to be asked to train for His Highness and I look forward to receiving the yearlings in due course”.
