Daltaya successfully held off Quiet Royal to win Sunday's Group 3 Prix La Grotte at Longchamp. By Anabaa, her dam Daltaiyma is a full sister to 7 time Group 1 winner Daylami, and thus half sister to Dalakhani, being a Doyoun daughter of the Miswaki mare Daltawa.
Owned and bred by HH The Aga Khan, Daltaya will now seek to emulate the members of her illustrious family by heading for Group 1 glory in either the Poule d'Essai de Pouliches (8f) or the Prix St. Alary (10f). To date she has not been out of the placings in 4 starts.
