Zarkava gave birth to her fourth foal, a bay colt by Dubawi
Zarkava (Zamindar) gave birth to her fourth foal on Saturday morning, a bay colt by Dubawi. Georges Rimaud, manager of the Aga Khan Studs in France, said of the foal: “He is a nice individual, very strong with bone and good depth.” Zarkava, who was the unbeaten winner of five Group 1s, is due to visit Champion sire Redoute’s Choice who reached the milestone of 100 Stakes winners last week.
The dam of Prix de Diane winner Valyra will visit Azamour again this year
Just a few hours after Zarkava, Valima (Linamix) foaled a bay filly by Acclamation. Georges Rimaud described her as “an elegant filly who is well proportioned.” Valima is already the dam of three Stakes performers in four foals of racing age, including last year’s Prix de Diane winner by Azamour Valyra. Valima will visit Azamour again this year.
The Aga Khan Studs has announced the 2025 mating plans for some of its star mares, with its roster of five stallions all receiving strong support from the home broodmare band.
