Aga Khan Studs represented by 13 horses in training.

The Aga Khan Studs send a consignment of 13 colts and geldings to Goffs forthcoming Horses in Training sale on 6th November.

Recent Aga Khan Studs graduates to shine after changing hands either privately or in a public sales ring include, last Saturday Grade 1 Grand National Hurdle winner Dawalan (ex Daltawa), Gr. 1 Triumph Hurdle third Hargam (ex Horasana), Gr. 2 winning hurdler Baradari (ex Behra) and Listed scorer Zand (ex Zanara), while Zarkandar and Zaidpour continue to perform at the highest level over jumps several years after being sold.

This latest draft of two and three year olds presents potential for future flat or National Hunt careers, and some of the Aga Khan Studs most famous pedigrees are represented.

The consignment is headed by winning colts SEREFELI (Footstepsinthesand) lot 264 and SHAMASH (Oasis Dream) lot 265. The former, out of a half-sister to champion miler and sire Sendawar, is a lightly-raced individual who opened his account on his debut over seven furlongs in April. The latter, out of Group winner Shareen, won a competitive maiden over ten furlongs at Sligo in August.

Juvenile colts DAWENKOUR (Tamayuz) lot 223, from the family of Darshaan, and HARAZ (Acclamation, lot 226) have shown promise on the track to be placed this season.

Among the half dozen unraced colts and geldings set to go under the hammer, the juvenile ZERINNDI (Holy Roman Emperor) lot 209, the first foal of Group-placed Zarebiya, hails from the maternal line of Zarkava. A year older, lot 244 ZAINISH represents the same distaff family and this gelding by Gr. 1 sire Azamour is the full brother to Stakes winner Zanughan.

Another two-year-old, KALAMKAN (Kitten’s Joy) lot 210 is out of a dual Listed winning half-sister to Kalanisi. Interesting three-year-olds to note are KATIYMANN (Shamardal) lot 243, a son of Group 1 placed Katiyra, and TIDJANI (Rock of Gibraltar) lot 245, a half-brother to Group 3 winning hurdler Tilabay and grandson of champion mare Timarida.
