Another Gr I for Kahyasi as broodmare sire

Monday 19 August 2002

Champion filly Banks Hill gave Kahyasi a further boost as a broodmare sire when storming home in the Group I Prix Jacques Le Marois at Deauville on Sunday.

The daughter of Danehill out of Kahyasi mare, Hasili, powered home in the mile event, now making it three victories at Group I level and earning herself the following compliment from Olivier Peslier: “She is the best filly I have ever ridden.”

The incredible daughter of Kahyasi, Hasili, has already produced other top class individuals including Dansili, now a stallion for Juddmonte Farms, and the French Guineas fifth and Listed placed three year old filly Heat Haze.

Hasili’s two year old filly Intercontinental looks set to follow in the footsteps of her illustrious siblings following an impressive first time out victory on Sunday, on the same day as her full sister’s Group I win.

Banks Hill’s victory gives Haras de Bonneval stallion, Kahyasi the distinction of having sired a Group I winner, Khalkevi (Grand Prix de Paris) and been broodmare sire of a Group I winner in the same year.
