Two more stakes winners for Dalakhani

His sons have recorded two Stakes wins in three days.

Exciting three year-old SIR GRAHAM WADE took home the Listed Grand Prix de Nantes (2400m) when he battled his way through testing ground to score his first stakes win. The son of DALAKHANI had plenty left in store when he eased up and won by a length and a half, having settled just behind a sensible early set pace.

Trainer Mark Johnston reported after the race: "We think he's going to be a very good horse next year, he's only three. That'll be it for this season; we'll put him away and then aim him at the Cup races next year."

Bred by Ballykilbride Stud in Ireland, Mark Johnston racing bought the yearling colt at Tattersalls Book 2 for £38,000.

Earlier in the week SEISMOS, another son of DALAKHANI, won his first Group race when securing the Gr.3 Hubertus Liebrecht-Gedachtnispreis (2400m) at Baden Baden by an easy five lengths. This was the second stakes win for the well-bred four year-old gelding, who took last year’s Grand Prix de Clairefontaine (Listed, 2400m).

Home bred by Gestüt Karlshof, SEISMOS is a half-brother to the Listed winner and Group placed Samba Brazil (Teofilo), as well as the dual Group One placed Soberania (Monsun). Their dam, the winning miler Sasuela (Dashing Blade), is herself a half-sister to the German Champion stayer and sire Schiaparelli (Monsun) and the dual Group winning sire Samum (Monsun).
