Montmartre sold to the French National Stud

Friday 27 February 2009

HH Aga Khan’s recently retired Grand Prix de Paris winner Montmartre has been sold to the French National Studs in a deal brokered by Ghislain Bozo of Meridian International.

Offers for the stallion were forthcoming from leading studs around the world, and in choosing the proposition of the Haras Nationaux, which will keep the future sire in France, HH Aga Khan has demonstrated his support for the French breeding industry.

The son of Montjeu and Gr 3 winning LINAMIX mare ARTISTICA will stand at the Haras National du Pin in Normandy for a fee of 4,000 Euros L.F.

20 shares in MONTMARTRE are now to be made available to breeders, while the National Studs will retain 30 shares.

Nomination enquiries should be made to the Haras National du Pin, while shares in the sire can be purchased through Ghislain Bozo.
