BEHRAR

BEHRAR provided a first French success for his Arc-winning sire at Fontainebleau on 8th September. The bay homebred carried the Aga Khan’s colours to a one length-victory in the Prix des Roses maiden over a mile.

The André Fabre-trained BEHRAR is a grandson of Prix Saint-Alary winner Behera and he scored on his second outing, having finished sixth on his debut at Deauville in August.

Also on 8th September, Chinese White was a particularly impressive winner on her debut at Leopardstown. The grey filly dominated the seven furlong Cara Hotels Group EBF Fillies Maiden from the outset and passed the post six lengths clear of a decent opposition.

Another DALAKHANI debutante finished a promising third in the same contest. The David Wachman-trained Crystal Swan was beaten just a short head for second place.

Chinese White looks to possess a large potential and should be even better over further as a three-year-old. She is well regarded by handler Dermot Weld, whose high-class two-year-old string also includes Unwritten Rule who opened DALAKHANI’s account as a stallion when scoring at Galway in August.

DALAKHANI has now sired six winners from twelve runners from his first crop in Europe.

The winner of four Group 1 events from a mile to a mile and a half, the son of Darshaan was beaten only once in his nine-race career which saw him crowned champion two-year-old in France and champion three-year-old internationally.

DALAKHANI stands at Gilltown Stud in Ireland for 35,000 € in 2007.
