Rajapour impresses in Prix Isonomy at Deauville

Thursday 20 October 2022

Two-year-old Aga Khan homebred now unbeaten in three starts.

RAJAPOUR maintained his unbeaten record and picked up his first piece of blacktype on Wednesday, with a two-length victory in the Listed Prix Isonomy at Deauville.

The two-year-old son of Almanzor and Gr.2 winner RAYDARA, who is also a half-brother to Group-placed Ridenza, looks an exciting prospect for next season’s Classics, having won three races in 2022. Trainer Jean-Claude Rouget commented: "He finished off his race very well and it's encouraging for the future. He was out on his own a bit in the middle of the track there and I was quite impressed. He's a beautiful-looking colt and he will be one of our hopes for next year."

On the same card, SIYOUNI three-year-old CARINI also picked up his first piece of blacktype when second in the Listed Prix Vulcain, following on from his hat-trick of victories earlier this season.
