Quality Aga Khan consignments for horses in training sales.

Horses in training consigned by the Aga Khan Studs are always highly sought after at public sale and this promises to be the case again at both Goffs Autumn Sale on 7th November and Arqana’s Autumn Sale on 19th November.

The eight-strong Goffs consignment features winners and placed horses representing some leading Aga Khan bloodlines, and is headed by winning Sea The Stars colt SHEBERGHAN, who is out of a Group placed dam. Sea The Stars is also the sire of BALIYAD, out of Group 3 scorer BALIYANA, one of four placed three-year-olds. This quartet features SANDARYANN, a half-brother to eight winners including the top-class Sarafina, and TASHMAN, half-brother to two Group scorers.

The well-bred pair of KOTTAYAM and EBADALI are both unraced to date. The former is out of Group 2 winner and Oaks third KATIYRA, while EBADALI is a grandson of champion filly EBADIYLA and is the half-brother to three black-type performers. By SIYOUNI, VIDIYNI is the only juvenile of the Goffs draft. This colt has been placed on three occasions and he is a grandson of Prix de Diane heroine VEREVA.

The Arqana catalogue features eight colts and geldings, both proven and unexposed individuals from top families. An impressive winner recently on his debut at Chantilly, Vadavar is a half-brother to four winners and notably Poule d’Essai des Pouliches runner-up Veda. He boasts a page rich in top-class performers including VADAWINA, VAZIRA and VADAMOS.

Five-year-old Dounyapour is a dual winner and runner up in the Gr.3 Prix de Lutèce, by Lope De Vega and out of Group 2 winner DIAMOND TANGO who has produced three black-type performers including Group 2 Doncaster Cup winner DESERT SKYLINE. The gelding won by more than 5 lengths on his most recent outing at Maisons-Laffitte on 2nd October.

Among the five three-year-olds entered, the unraced colt Roustam presents an exceptional pedigree as he is a half-brother by Shamardal to Group 1 winner ROSANARA (Sinndar), out of a half-sister to RAJSAMAN. Four-year-old SIKANDARI is none other than a half-brother by Sea The Stars to SIYOUNI and Group 1 winner SIYOUMA. The gelding has been placed on several occasions over a mile and nine furlongs.

Recent Aga Khan Studs graduates to be sold out of training include HUNAINA (Tamayuz), a dual Stakes winner in France this season, SHAHROZE (Holy Roman Emperor) who won a Group 3 contest at Woodbine for new connections, and SIKANDARABAD (Dr Fong), who was beaten just a head into third place at Group 1 level in Australia.
