Sussex Stakes success from prestigious Aga Khan family

Thursday 28 July 2005

Proclamation's emphatic win in yesterday's Sussex Stakes proved yet again the merits of the Aga Khan's

meticulously planned breeding programme. The King's Best colt is out of an unraced Aga Khan bred mare, Shamarra (Zayyani), who hails from the family of Champion miler Sendawar. Congratulations to Proclamation's trainer Jeremy Noseda, owner Princess Haya of Jordan, and to his breeder, Cahal Ryan on their Group 1 win at Goodwood.

On the subject of Sendawar, his first crop of 3 year olds have notched up 23 wins to date in 2005, his top rated performer being Sendalam (RPR 102). Updated 27/07/2005.
