Strong first foal for Dariyan

Sunday 21 January 2018

A nice strong colt was born on Friday night.

On the night before the crowds gathered at Haras de Bonneval to see him and his stable companions, Dariyan’s first foal was born. Masaola, a sister to two Stakes performers owned by Mr and Mrs Renk, gave birth to a bay colt at Haras de Saint Crespin. The manager of the Aga Khan Studs in France, Georges Rimaud said of him: “He is a nice strong foal, he weighs 61 kilos and is well developed, we’re very happy with him.”

Dariyan is a Group 1 winner with a remarkable pedigree, being a son of Shamardal out of Group 1 winner Daryakana. His grandam Daryaba won the Prix de Diane and Prix Vermeille and he hails from the family of Darjina and Almanzor. Dariyan stands for €8,000 at Haras de Bonneval alongside Siyouni, Zarak and Charm Spirit.
