Pictavia and Shawanda Curragh contest

Monday 4 July 2005

Sinndar's daughters Pictavia and Shawanda may well both contest the forthcoming Darley Irish Oaks at the Curragh.

Shawanda's trainer Alain de Royer-Dupre is likely to supplement the filly if everything continues to go well with her preparation. Winner of the GR 3 Prix de Royaumont last time out, Shawanda is out of the Darshaan mare Shamawna and has the Prix Vermeille set as her autumn target.

Meanwhile the Aga Khan owned Behkiyra ran out an impressive 5 length winner of the Listed Martin Molony Stakes at Limerick over the weekend. Winner of her maiden, she may now also head for the Oaks in what would be only her 3rd career start. Uodated 04/07/2005.
