Sendawar’s Tatoufo wins again

Friday 28 January 2005

The handsome chestnut son of Sendawar, Tatoufo won for the second time when taking the Prix de Vichy at Cagnes-Sur-Mer on Wednesday.

After being settled behind the leaders during the early stages, Tatoufo, progressed to challenge for the lead at the beginning of the straight. He battled courageously throughout the final furlong to hold the late challenge of Milongo and the sustained effort of Silver Cross, a useful son of Kahyasi.

Afterwards his trainer Jean-Claude Rouget commented: "Tatoufo is a colt I have always found difficult to judge but today he pleasantly surprised me. It should be noted that he disappointed last time out on the sand and obviously he is more at home on the grass".
