Another winner for Sendawar

Monday 21 June 2004

First season sire Sendawar had his second debutant winner when the promising Yanko won first time out over six furlongs yesterday.

Bred by Monsieur and Madame Gilles Forien at the Haras de la Reboursiere et de Montaigu, Yanko was sold for 140,000 Euros at the Deauville August yearling sales in 2003.

Out of the winning Kaldoun mare Tambura, he is a half brother to four winners including the Stakes winners Welcome Millenium and Ximb (3rd in last year’s Group I Prix Jean Luc Lagardere).

Sendawar’s first winner Rose Luxembourg had previously taken the Prix du Tertre by ten lengths at Nantes before finishing a close fourth in a competitive conditions’ event at Chantilly.
