The Aga Khan’s existing French studs were enhanced in 2005 by the acquisition of the late Jean-Luc Lagardère’s stud.

In addition to the 60 hectares at Haras du Val Henry, there are 250 hectares at Ouilly on which the youngstock are raised. Countless high quality horses have been produced on the Ouilly pastures including Group 1 winners Cherry Mix, Valixir, Vadawina and Carlotamix.

Val Henry was built in traditional Normandy style with panoramic views over the surrounding countryside, and along with Ouilly will be maintained to the same high standards as the other Aga Khan holdings in Europe.
